澳人治澳，指的是《中华人民共和国澳门特别行政区基本法》规定的由澳门人自主管理澳门，澳门特别行政区的行政机关和立法机关由澳门当地人及澳门特别行政区永久居民组成的原则。依据这一原则，澳门原有的社会、经济制度和生活方式保持不变，法律基本不变，居民生活如常，继续保持东西方文化交汇特色。
特区政府高度自治，依法自主处理其各项内部事务。中央政府、中央各部门、中央驻澳机构和各省市，均不干预澳门特区自治范围内的事务，体现了“一国”之内“两制”并存，完全符合国家、民族的根本利益和澳门地区的发展要求。
根据澳门基本法的规定，澳门特区行政长官由一个具有广泛代表性的行政长官选举委员会依法选出，经中央人民政府任命成为候任行政长官。澳门特区第五任行政长官的任期自2019年12月20日至2024年12月19日。
