The non-public sector’s status and functions in the country’s economic and social development have not changed. The principle and policies to unswervingly encourage, support and guide the development of the non-public sector have not changed, and the principle and policies to provide a sound environment and more opportunities to the sector have not changed either.

8月29日，100名非公有制经济人士和新的社会阶层人士获得“优秀中国特色社会主义事业建设者”称号。表彰大会勉励受表彰者努力做爱国敬业的典范，做守法经营的典范，创业创新的典范以及做回报社会的典范。
One hundred individuals from the non-public sector of the economy or belonging to new social groups were awarded the title of “outstanding builders of socialism with Chinese characteristics” Thursday. The title winners were encouraged to be models of patriotism, professional excellence, law-abiding business, innovation and entrepreneurship, and social responsibility.
