英语口语 | 用stop off表达“中途停留或拜访一处”

当我们想表达 “在做一件事或去往一处的途中停留、逗留” 时，就可以使用搭配 “stop off”。它常用来描述 “停下来休息、吃饭”，或是 “中途下车” 等情景。

如果想补充说明 “中途在某处停下来”，那么就可以使用介词 “at”，组成搭配 “stop off at somewhere”； 或用 “stop off in a place” 表示 “在某地停留”。

• If you would like to see your grandmother, we can stop off at her house on the way to the city.
  如果你想去看看你的奶奶，那么我们可以在进城的时候顺路去她家。
• Don’t worry! I can stop off at your house on the way home and give you your present in person.
