China plans to roll out e-tickets for high-speed trains across the country in 2019, said Lu Dongfu, general manager of China Railway Corp. Passengers will be able to tap their ID cards against a card reader at the ticket barrier to enter the station, Lu said.
中国铁路总公司总经理陆东福表示，我国计划明年在全国高铁推广电子客票，届时乘客在检票口的读卡器上轻触身份证即可进站。
本月22日起，铁路部门率先在海南环岛高铁线路（island-looping high-speed line）实行电子客票服务试点，乘客坐高铁”刷身份证或扫码”就能进站，彻底告别纸质车票（paper ticket）。
据介绍，通过互联网购票的旅客到达高铁站后，无需换取纸质车票，可持二代身份证（2nd-generation ID card）等有效身份证件（valid identity document）通过进站口和验票闸机直接乘车。如果乘客是在车站购票，则可拿到一张购票信息单（ticket notice）。这种信息单有点像超市的购物小票，上面记录了旅客购票的车次、座位号等信息，但这个不作为乘车凭证。
此外，全国绝大多数一、二线城市将同时开通刷脸进高铁站。乘客如果没带身份证，只需在刷脸快速通道对着”人脸识别（facial recognition）”机器看一眼，就可以直接进站乘车。除了二代身份证外，外国人居留证（residence permit for foreigners）、港澳居民来往内地通行证（Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents）、台湾居民来往大陆通行证（Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents）也可直接刷证检票进站上车。
据了解，未来无论通过何种渠道购票，购票成功后旅客都会收到铁路部门推送的电子客票通知单，并可根据需要选择是否打印报销凭证（reimbursement voucher）。旅客可在售票窗口、自助售票机（self-service ticket vending machine）打印报销凭证，有效打印截止日期为乘车后30天内。
