英语词源 | theater

这个词最初来自希腊语的 thea ，意思是“看”；以后变作 theaomai ，意思是“观看”；进而变成 theatron ，意思是“观看（节目）的地方”。

进入拉丁语后变为 theatrum ；进入中古英语后变成 theatre. 现在，美国英语中写作 theater ；英国英语仍保留着 theatre 的写法。
